Slow Burning A Fever Dream
Slow Burning A Fever Dream is an act of externalising an obsessive desire. One that started with the subject and was subsequently directed to the act of desiring itself. In Lacanian thought, pain through an unfulfilled desire becomes a source of enjoyment (jouissance) beyond the pleasure principle.

Destruction is the core of its creation. Both as a means of expression and pleasure. The images captured a state of mind and were thermally reproduced several times as a way to burn and destroy the original images, reflecting the destruction an obsessive desire has on the psyche.
The paradox of jouissance is performed through the photobook. Audiences are asked to completely destroy the book, after which a new book will be put together from its remains. The unfulfilled desire is the ultimate desire. After all, to stop desiring is to stop being.
